About by_WoozKa
Hi, I’m Woo Joong — trader, market researcher, and the person behind every article on this site.
by_WoozKa exists for one reason: most trading content online is either too shallow to act on or too conflicted to trust. I write the kind of analysis I wished existed when I started — specific, sourced to primary research where possible, and honest about risk and uncertainty.
Now that I’m on the other side of that learning curve, I know that surviving the markets takes more than just memorizing a few setups. You need a much broader base of knowledge to actually build wealth. That’s why I don’t just focus on one narrow niche here. I write about the foundational concepts and market realities you need to understand before you can seriously grow your capital. Because whether you’re trading, investing, or managing risk, everything you do with your money boils down to one goal: building real wealth. I take the hard-won lessons, the deep-dives, and the broader strategies I rely on to stay profitable, and lay them all out in these articles.
What you’ll find here
The site covers six areas: stock and equity investing, ETFs and index funds, crypto markets, forex and futures trading, trading systems and indicators, and money and economics — where I publish strategy breakdowns and the evidence behind them. Every article is tagged by level, from beginner fundamentals to advanced systematic concepts, so you can find material that matches where you are.
How I work
If I state a fact on this site, I source it. If I publish a backtest, I show you the exact methodology behind it so you can see the math for yourself. When I share my personal trading experiences, you get the reality of it—both the wins and the bleeding losses.
Transparency matters. If I ever mention a product or tool that I earn a commission from, it will be clearly disclosed right there on the page. I don’t hide the ball, and my full process is documented in my Editorial Policy.
Finally: nothing here is financial advice. I am an educator, a researcher, and a trader sharing my own work, not your financial advisor. You are responsible for your own capital. Please read the full Disclaimer for the complete picture.

How I research and write
Articles here start from primary sources rather than from other blogs. When a piece makes a numeric or empirical claim — how much fees cost you over thirty years, how often actively managed funds beat their benchmark, what leverage limits actually are in a given jurisdiction — that claim is traced back to the original document and linked inline so you can check it yourself. In practice that means academic papers, regulator publications, and the primary data releases: the SEC’s Investor.gov materials, CFTC and NFA rules for futures and forex, BLS and Federal Reserve data for inflation and rates, CFPB and New York Fed reports for consumer credit, and peer-reviewed finance research for anything touching strategy performance.
Where research disagrees, I say so rather than picking whichever study makes the cleaner headline. Where a number is genuinely uncertain or moves over time, I point you to the live source instead of freezing a figure that will quietly go stale. And where a strategy has a known failure mode, that failure mode goes in the article — a method described without the conditions that break it is not education, it is marketing.
What you will not find here
No trade signals, no paid entry or exit alerts, no managed accounts, and no claims about my personal returns. I am not a licensed financial advisor and nothing published here is personal financial advice — it is educational material about how instruments, markets, and risk actually work, written so you can make your own decisions with a clearer picture. I also do not publish original backtest results as evidence for a strategy; where backtesting comes up, I explain the methodology and its pitfalls and point to published research rather than asking you to trust numbers you cannot audit.
Some pages mention brokers or products. Where those links are commercial, that is disclosed on the page, and no article’s conclusion is shaped by them — the full policy is in the editorial policy and disclaimer.
Corrections
If you find an error — a misread study, a stale figure, a broken piece of arithmetic — tell me through the contact page and I will correct it. Getting something wrong and fixing it is part of doing this honestly; leaving it up because nobody noticed is not.
